Yes, To conform to building codes, shower doors must use tempered glass. Building codes specify tempered glass due to its safety properties. Tempered glass is four to six times stronger than un-tempered (or annealed) glass.

Using a squeegee after every shower is the best and most efficient way to keep your new glass clean. However, Clearshield© Glass Protection is the newest technology designed to prevent soap scum and hard water deposits from etching into the glass. Once coated with Clearshield (during production), your new glass will be under warranty for 10 years after original installation and still looking brand new for years to come.. .

The answer is yes! Unless you have a tile contractor to replace the old tiles, some holes will show through the new Frameless glass. However, we will always try to design your new Frameless enclosure to look best for the situation that you have. Sometimes just straddling the old screw holes can make them almost impossible to see. Please make sure to inquire about this problem before deciding on a new enclosure.
